Last year, my best friend and I started climbing the
REI pinnacle in Seattle. I'm slightly afraid of heights so I was taking it slow progressing each time with a slightly more difficult wall. Then injury struck earlier this year from a snowboarding accident and I haven't been back since.

It was my goal to climb the wall again before August so that I'd be ready for an upcoming urban adventure race that I'm participating in. So a couple of weekends ago we gave the wall another go and I have to say it was a breeze.
I had injured my wrists and they're still not 100% and was afraid I wouldn't be able to support my weight - but fortunately since climbing is all in the legs I was easily able to climb up and just use my arms/hands/wrists for leverage and support.

The REI wall costs $20 if you're just in town visiting. But if you shop there actively get an REI membership because it is only $7.00 a climb. The wall is great for kids (though there is a height restriction) and they just seem to fly up the wall - I think it's that invincibility thing at that age!
I'll be back to my slow progression of harder walls each time so that I can not only continue conquering the pinnacle but also my fear of heights.
You did fantastic! Great pics
