Caprese Skewers an Easy Win at Any Party - A Recipe

Whenever I'm hosting an party or heading to a pot-luck I usually put together my easy-peasy caprese skewers that are simple, delicious and always a crowd pleaser.

What you'll need:

- 8 to 16oz medium mozzarella cheese. Don't get block or the fresh mozzarella. You want the slightly round mozzarella that's not too soft and not too hard.

- Fresh basil

- Grape tomato (or your favorite small type)

- Pack of 6 inch skewers

Putting it together:

- Chop the mozzarella into 1/2 inch squares and make sure you have at least one side that's pretty flat so it will sit nicely. You should get about 50 to 75 pieces from one mozzarella.

- Tear a small piece of basil and put on top of the cheese cube.

- Take a tomato with a skewer and skewer the tomato to the basil and cheese and plate.

- Repeat steps until you run out of cheese or tomatoes and serve!

Optional

- For additional flavor you can try different mozzarellas or tomatoes.

- You can drizzle with olive oil/seasoned olive oil for additional flavor.
